No, this is not about King Arthur's benefactor. And it is not about
a football player-turned actor. It is just about me. Merlin is not
even really my name, but in the years leading up to 1990 there were three
distinct occasions when the people with whom I worked and associated began
to call me Merlin. The odd thing is that these were different groups
of people and there was no connection between them. And the reasons
for which they chose to begin calling me by this name were entirely unrelated.
So in 1990 I began using the name Merlin in business and
later on as my personal name. I have not decided if these pages will
ever reveal the circumstances under which I became Merlin to
my associates. At least one of them is intensely personal.
We shall see.
This will always be a work in progress and the theme will change
from time to time. The current theme in the broadest sense is the
paranormal, whatever that is. Perhaps there will be some
philosophical discussion on the topic as well as some entertainment, stories
and reports of events said to be true. I hope you will join me and
my family on this journey of learning how to create and publish web pages
while at the same time exploring the life of one regular and average American
with average and regular American problems and remaining within the umbrella
of paranormal investigations. It should be very interesting.
